i thought i should write a journal entry... ^_^
i learned that we're going to be helping with a primary school play today. >_> theatre is usually fun, but little kids bug me. they always run around backstage practically shouting and moving props and throwing costumes around...its a huge mess. the parents love it though, and no one else wants to bother with the mini-actors, so we, the theatre class, get hired. *glares* the director is cool and all, if a little bit condescending,which i suppose people get like that when working with little kids...but it is a bit annoying. we havent decided who's going to take on which jobs yet. we have enough people to have 2 on lights, 2 on sound, at least 5 backstage, plus an SM, 2ASMs, and a props manager. so hopefully it will be pretty controlled. i think i might try lights this time. ive done a bit of designing before, but this time i cant use a cyc.. but we've got a couple spot lights to use. so it'll be fun if i get that job
i just hope no one pours water on the main socket backstage THIS time >_> oooh i could have killed them! unless im actually acting, actors seem pretty stupid -- especially the small ones.
in other news...i'm thinking about going to the US for university. i suppose i could go to the UK...and of course i would, but there's something cool about going to the US...
so many choices! where do i begin?
